9 years and counting!

April 26, 2003 when everything in my life falls into proper place. I can never imagine myself living without my husband... He has been my source of strength, happiness and hope. He is not just my husband, he is my bestfriend. Our marriage, just like any other marriage, isn't a perfect one... marami ring unos, kumbaga, kaming pinagdaanan..but because we know that we have each other and that we believe that love is what's important, everything else doesn't matter. Truly, marriage is a world of compromises.. pag di kayo marunong magbigayan at magkasundo siguradong walang patutungahan ang relasyon. Sabi nga nila, it's not always rainbows and butterflies.
I want to thank my husband for his undying love for me and our son... for his being a good provider.. for understanding my kaartehan (alam na nya pag hindi na ako nagsasalita..pagkain lang ang katapat!ahahaha).. for his patience with my katopakan (hehe).. and of course, I want to thank him for giving me 9 years of happiness. I am looking forward for many more years for us. I pray that God would give us good health para more years pa talaga for us.

I'd like to share you these quotes:

  • We are told that people stay in love because of chemistry, or because they remain intrigued with each other, because of many kindnesses, because of luck. But part of it has got to be forgiveness and gratefulness.” – Ellen Goodman

  • A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person.

I hope that everybody may also find their one true love and that it would lasts for many years. ^_^

Love is all that matters..

Morning till now, I was thinking what will be my next topic for my blog. When I was about to just end the day not writing anything because I really cannot think of something to write, I noticed that whenever I'll be opening my facebook account I would always see statuses about love. So ok, I guess it's a sign that I talk about a little of love. ^_^ I'm not an expert in love... though I am a person full of love! (which comes from God, my husband, my son, my parents, siblings, friends, students (some of them I guess) ^___^)
Whenever a friend, a student, a relative would be asking me advices about their love problems, I usually end it up with this line.."but, at the end of the day, no matter what happens, it's still love that matters." You see, there are really many definition of love, it varies from one person, one culture, one beliefs, and anything else to another. Despite of those adversities, love falls down to one thing..happiness and pain. Who among us, who fell inlove and wasn't happy? who is loved and love his/her parents, friends who isn't happy? Every little and big love we share and take, we gain happiness. But the downside of it... if love doesn't work out how it's supposed to be.. it causes tremendous pain.. =( The pain may last for a very short time or worse, for a very long time.  Either way, it's for you to know and to weigh what is more important.. to cherish the happiness or to suffer from pain.

Here's a link for quotes about love that might help you post something nice on you facebook status! ^_^

My opinion..

Transgender in the Ms. Universe pageant… honestly, in my own opinion…. I don’t think that’s right. I love gays, I never discriminated any of them nor made fun of them. I even encounter some who are extremely intelligent and whose outlook in life even motivates other people to bring out the best in themselves. I believe that society must start accepting them and just like any other human being they should have to be respected too… it’s just that, with this kind of issue, I don’t think it’s right that they should be competing with the “REAL” girls/women. Yes, I do admit that other transgender are way more beautiful than us and that’s why I know that they have a big chance of winning the competition. Sadly, it would be a big slap on the face of any woman joining the competition if a transgender would outstand them and win the competition. They needed respect, they might as well give it first to the society. If there’s a Filipino saying “Ang kay Juan ay kay Juan, at ang kay Pedro ay kay Pedro”, mine would be “Ang kay Juan ay kay Juan, at ang kay Maria ay kay Maria”! That’s all thank you! ^_^v
